Privacy notice

What data is processed when you use this website, by whom and why. The short version: we set no cookies, run no analytics or advertising, and keep no account or profile of you.

What we do not do

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools, shows no advertising and has no user accounts or sign-up forms. We do not sell or share data about visitors.

Hosting and server logs

When you open a page, your browser sends the usual technical request data (IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system) to our hosting provider, which needs it to deliver the page and to protect the service against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Live data and maps

Weather, sea and air-quality data are fetched on our side and built into the pages, so your browser does not contact a weather service. The earthquake panel loads its data directly in your browser from EMSC (with USGS as a fallback), and maps load their tiles from OpenFreeMap, only when a map scrolls into view. For these requests the service receives your IP address and browser details, as with any website; they receive no information about you from us. Legal basis: legitimate interest in showing current local data and maps (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Outages, notices, pharmacies and other data pages are prepared on our side; opening them sends nothing to the original sources. AMP versions of pages load the AMP library from cdn.ampproject.org (Google), and a link that leads elsewhere – official services, ticket sellers, share buttons – is covered by that site’s own privacy terms once you follow it.

The plate number helper

On the fines page you can type a vehicle registration number. It is processed only in your browser to tidy its format and copy it; it is not sent to us or to anyone else and is not stored. The official services the page links to have their own privacy terms.

Storage in your browser

To work smoothly, the site keeps a few small entries in your own browser’s storage. They never leave your device, are not used to recognise you and can be deleted at any time in your browser’s settings.

What is stored in your browser
NameWhat it holdsHow long
vp-langThe language you chose, so the site opens in it next timeUntil you delete it
vp-areaThe district you picked on the outages pageUntil you delete it

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Because we keep no profile of visitors, most requests will concern server logs or emails.

You can also complain to a data protection authority – in Bulgaria the Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg), or the authority where you live or work. We make no automated decisions about you.

The data controller and a contact address for privacy requests will be named on this page before the sites go live.
